Geographic Information System for Chittagong City

The GIS Maps Automation project, initiated for the Chattogram City Corporation. The project aimed to create a comprehensive Geographic Information System (GIS) map of the entire city area, along with detailed individual ward maps for all 41 wards. This initiative supports emergency response capacity, strategic urban planning, and daily resource management for Chattogram City Corporation.

Introduction to the Project

By integrating high-resolution satellite imagery, field data, and advanced GIS tools, Synesis IT developed an Arc-GIS Enterprise Geo-database and web-based asset management system. This enables Chattogram City Corporation to visualize and manage critical infrastructure, optimize resources, and respond effectively to emergencies. The project also focused on capacity-building, ensuring that city officials can leverage these geospatial tools independently.
